Blastocystis Hominis Management & Treatment

B.hominis is a stubborn parasite, but it can be managed and treated successfully.

I was struck down with Blastocystis Hominis and after a six month battle which left me so emaciated and weak, I was healed.  None of the seven doctors I had consulted seemed to know how to treat B. hominis.  One of those, a professor of gastrointerology at a university in Sydney, suggested it would go away if I ate meat !!!! (Red meat is bad for you if you have B.hominis because it is hard to digest.)  He totally ignored the stool test result showing the presence of B.homins. However, he offered me an endoscopy which I did undergo.  I later learned that since this parasite is microscopic, the endoscope can't see it, so don't fall for the offer of a test.  B. hominis is usually hidden in the nooks & crannies of the intestines (and again because it is microscopic, it won't show up in a colonoscopy). Therefore, A stool test is the only way to ascertain the presence of B. hominis.

There is not enough research done on this parasite which is still badly understood, hence the ignorance on how to treat it. Unfortunately, some doctors believe that B.hominis is part of the normal gut bacteria.  But that is incorrect.  It is a parasite not a bacterium

Sufferers of B. hominis are usually given Flagyl (Metronidazole). This treatment rarely works because Flagyl is an antibacterial drug (for bacterial infections) while B.hominis is a parasite

To help in the management and treatment of Blastocystis hominis, I have written a concise e-book consisting of 50-pages packed with useful information (not found anywhere else) gleaned from my experience and in-depth research on this subject.  I talk about treatment (both conventional and non-conventional); Rebuilding the immune system after successful treatment; Foods you should NOT eat when struck down with B.hominis; Foods you CAN eat while suffering with B.hominis; Strengthening your intestines; Confusion with gut diagnoses, e.g. IBS (irritable Bowel Syndrome); Recipes; and much, much more.......
